The Play 1 is the newest, wireless and budget friendly Sonos speakers joining the play 3, play 5 and the play sub in their franchise lineup.
It is a stylish and exceptionally well-made wireless speaker, especially for the price.It offers the full Sonos experience, with support for most key services including Pandora, Spotify, and Rdio.
The Sonos Play 1 is the smallest of all the Sonos speakers and it is beautifully designed with an aluminum body with no-seaming.
On the top of the device are some quick-play buttons (pause and play) which could be easy to access at any time.
It could be mounted on a platform and has a plug-and-remove charger which doesn’t affect the stance of the speakers.
If you’re using this as your main living room music source, you’re going to want to add a second one in for stereo sound, which obviously doubles the price.Sound quality is good considering the size and even gets better with extra connectivity with apps for Android, iOS, Mac and PC.The Play1 kicks up a decent amount of bass though it won’t be quite enough for, so we’d recommend pairing with a Sonos Sub if you’re serious about getting the most out of the Play 1.
